WordPress Development

WordPress that actually performs — custom-built and yours to manage.

No bloated themes. No cookie-cutter templates. Those Geeks builds WordPress sites the right way — whether that's hand-coded custom themes or a carefully crafted Elementor build. Clean architecture, solid performance, and the security your business deserve

What We Build

What a real WordPress agency actually does.

There's a big difference between someone who installs WordPress and someone who engineers it. Here's what we build.

Custom Theme Development

Hand-coded themes built around your brand — not Divi, not Elementor, no template DNA hiding underneath.

WooCommerce Stores

Product catalogs, checkout flows, payment gateways, and inventory management configured for your business model.

Custom Plugin Development

When off-the-shelf plugins won't cut it, we write the code: custom post types, API integrations, and business-specific logic.

Performance Optimization

WordPress can be fast. We make yours fast: caching, image optimization, Core Web Vitals, and server-level tuning.

WordPress Security & Hardening

Hardened configurations, malware removal, two-factor auth, and proactive monitoring so attacks don't get through.

Site Migrations

Moving from another host, another CMS, or a page-builder disaster? We migrate cleanly with zero downtime and no lost data.

Ongoing Maintenance

Plugin updates, security patches, backups, and uptime monitoring on a schedule — so nothing quietly breaks.

Block Editor & Full-Site Editing

Custom Gutenberg blocks and FSE templates that give your team real editorial power without ever calling a developer.

Elementor

We design and build custom WordPress websites using Elementor — giving you a pixel-perfect site that looks great on every device and is easy for you to manage. No bloat, no guesswork. Just a site that works.

How It Works

A clear path from kickoff to launch.

We've done enough WordPress projects to know exactly where things go sideways. Here's how we prevent that.

  1. 01

    Discovery & Audit

We dig into your goals, your current site's pain points, and what success looks like — including any technical debt we'll need to address.

  2. 02

    Architecture & Planning

We map out your content types, custom fields, user roles, and plugin dependencies before writing a line of code.

  3. 03

    Design & Theming

Wireframes and visual design in your brand language. You approve before development starts — no surprises at launch.

  4. 04

    Development & QA

Clean PHP on a staging environment, tested across browsers and devices. Nothing touches production until it's ready.

  5. 05

    Launch & Training

Coordinated go-live, DNS migration, and a hands-on session so your team owns the site from day one.

Common Questions

Straight answers to real WordPress questions.

Questions people actually type into Google when they're researching WordPress development. No fluff.

How much does it cost to hire someone to build a WordPress website?
Most custom WordPress projects fall in the $4,000–$12,000 range depending on scope — number of pages, whether you need WooCommerce, custom integrations, and how much content needs to be created or migrated. We provide detailed, itemized proposals so there are no surprises. And we're happy to have a direct conversation about budget early — knowing your number helps us scope a project that actually fits.
How long does it take to build a WordPress website?
Most projects run 6–10 weeks from kickoff to launch. The biggest variable is almost always content — copy, photos, and approvals coming in from your side. We give every client a clear content guide and timeline at kickoff so nothing stalls. If you have a hard deadline, tell us upfront and we'll be honest about whether it's workable.
What do I need to provide to get started?
At the start, we mostly need your time and input — a discovery conversation about your goals, examples of sites you like, any existing brand assets (logo, fonts, colors), and a rough idea of what pages and content you need. We guide you through everything else. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out.
Can you redesign my existing WordPress site instead of rebuilding from scratch?
Yes, and we do this often. Whether we redesign in place or rebuild depends on what's under the hood. If your current site is running a heavily customized page builder theme, a clean rebuild is usually faster and produces a better result. If the architecture is sound, a redesign on top of it makes sense. We'll give you an honest recommendation after a quick technical review.
Will I be able to update my own site after you build it?
That's non-negotiable for us. Every site we build uses WordPress in a way that lets your team manage content without touching code — adding pages, updating text, swapping images, publishing blog posts. We include a hands-on training session at launch and written documentation. You should never need to call a developer just to change your hours or add a staff member.
What happens if something breaks after launch?
We include 30 days of post-launch support on every project — bugs we introduced get fixed at no charge. Beyond that, we offer ongoing maintenance plans that cover plugin updates, security patches, backups, and break-fix support. We're also just a phone call or email away; we don't disappear after launch day.
What's the difference between hiring a WordPress agency and a freelancer?
A good freelancer can absolutely build a solid WordPress site — the risk is bandwidth and continuity. If they're sick, overbooked, or move on, your project stalls and you're starting over with someone new. An agency brings a team, a defined process, and someone who'll still pick up the phone three years from now. We've been in business since 2003 — long-term relationships are how we work.
Do I need to sort out hosting and a domain before hiring you?
Nope — we handle all of that as part of the project. We'll recommend hosting that fits your budget and traffic needs, help you purchase or transfer your domain, and configure everything. If you already have hosting and a domain you want to keep, we work with those too. Either way, you won't be left figuring out server settings on your own.
