We helped the Washington County Fair transition from an outdated, difficult to manage WordPress theme to an easier to update WordPress setup, mostly revolving around the block editor.

Project Details

The Challenge

The Washington County Fair website was outdated, hard to edit, and challenging to maintain. Its visuals were several years old and the site was not mobile-optimized, making an update necessary. That’s where ThoseGeeks came in.

The Solution

We kept the site on WordPress because the staff was already familiar with the platform. First, we overhauled the global color scheme and font system, and developed a mobile-friendly structure for the site. For pages needing a more interesting layout, we used Elementor, while for most content pages, we used the WordPress core block editor. This resulted in a much-improved site that we will continue to enhance year over year.
